About

fishingEider Duck was lovingly restored by its previous owners (Roger and Lesley Andrews who still live on the island) and they cleverly kept the original charm and character while upgrading with modern décor and fittings. There are old stone flagged and wooden floors throughout. Now we’ve added our our own touches.

Egyptian cotton sheets, fluffy towels, coffee machine, washer with dryer, wifi – we know these are the kind of details that make a difference. They are what we look for when we stay somewhere, so we’ll make sure that Eider Duck meets all those expectations.

As a family we have strong connections with the island that go back to Rachel’s childhood. Her father was the Warden of Lindisfarne covering this stretch of coastline and is still active in the community. We were lucky to be married at St Mary’s Church. Since then our two young boys have grown up with Eider Duck holidays and enjoyed the freedom of running down to St Cuthbert’s beach or the harbour without us having to worry about their safety.

Holy Island is part of our lives and Eider Duck is as special to us as we hope it will be to all our guests.
